Since I finished my story boards couple days ago and I have received many mixed reviews. The guy who helped for this commercial Dino, he loves it and grab a set of copy for the store board. My female friend Jenny, She totally hates it because she told me there is no connection between those three items showed in my commercial. But after I explained it to her and she changed her mind about this commercial. I told her this is only the story boards and it is going to be an amazing commercial if its a video. I figured it will be so much better if I can make a video for this commercial since there is so many elements need to be show on video to be cool. But like I mentioned before I really just couldn't finish it by myself. Since people do not spend much more than a few seconds glancing at an ad, the principle of visual hierarchy creates order and coherence, facilitating rapid message communication. (Landa 159.Landa. Advertising by Design. John Wiley & Sons (P&T). <vbk:9781118038505#outline(9.3.3)
Although this is my first advertising project I like I did a really good job on it, No matter from idea to the story boards.

Creative Content

First scene, Dino is the guy who wants a sports since he was a kid but he just never find the right one that suit his taste and comes with everything he asked for. In the morning, Dino is having a daydream about his dream cars that he never can afford. Second scene, Alarm went on and its time for Dino to go to school, He never thought today will be his lucky day. Third scene, the garage door is opening and there is an arrow suddenly flying out from the garage and almost hit him in the face. While Dino is trying to figure out what’s going on in there and he heard a roaring coming from his garage. He looked inside and he found there is leopard is staring at him. Dino is tripped out he thought he needs to run.(Fourth scene) There is black guy scared the leopard away and wave to Dino. Dino found he is the champion who won the 100 meters short run in the London Olympic game. After the champion walked away. (Fifth scene). The reason why I throw an arrow, a leopard and the 100m champion in this commercial is because they all the representation of speed. After all those weird things flew by, the Hyundai Genesis couple coming out from his garage. Dino suddenly fall in love with this beauty. He walks around the car and found out how sporty looking the car is. Brembo brakes, turbo charged engine, fire red leather seats and the sports interior. (In the video should be play all of those details in slow motions). In the last, the slogan of this commercial: Fast Furious Fantastic pops out and Dino drives his new lover to school. Life couldn’t be happier for Dino today.
Promotion
Promotion is always the most important thing when a new product launched in market. For my promotion process of the Hyundai Genesis coupe I'd like to create magazine ads, TV commercials and billboards. Essentially, advertising strategy is considering the brand's or group's
positioning and aiming your advertising application (the type of design
problem) in the marketplace to achieve differentiation, relevance, and
resonance. Moreover, the strategy is a conceptual plan that provides
guidelines—for both client and creative professionals—for all visual
communication applications.( the project process, page 3 from textbook) Magazine ads will be the most effective way to show people what Hyundai is offering. Superstreet and Modified are two great magazine for our Hyundai Genesis couple is because both of them are focusing on Japanese tuning and people can get them almost at every shops and supermarkets. Also, the men magazines and fashion magazines need to be used for my product as well. More likely TV commercial is another great way to let people get to know about Genesis couple. Sunday sports game channels and MTV channels matched my point for this commercial. For the Billboard part, I'd like to set couple of them on highway and some of them around downtown. Whom are we talking to? Adults, ages 18–49, who are infrequent users or
nonusers of Chick-fil-A. They are primarily women, college graduates,
and in white-collar jobs. They associate chicken with a healthy
lifestyle and believe that quality food is better for you and worth the
money. ( The project process, page 3 from textbook). Whom are we focusing on? Why I picked magazine, TV and billboards as my promotion process? The Hyundai Genesis is focusing on the young people who wants a fast rear wheel drive car. It does very thing they are looking for so this is the battle that we have to win.
The Big Idea
Since I mentioned in competitive analyses, we are facing so
many strong rivals in this price range. What am I going to do to attract
customers is to focus on young generation who love sports car and want to their
car worth every penny that they spend on it. I would say its really hard to take customers from Toyota, Honda, VW and etc. But it's not impossible to win this war if we do it in the right way. An ad can make an experience a communal event, making us feel that we've
all participated. Their reality is our reality, and we feel a kinship
with the brand or cause being advertised. (The big idea, page 15,From textbook).
This point of departure is used for specific brands as well as for commodities. (The big idea, page 17, From textbook)
Making an overstatement or enlarging the truth beyond bounds can express just how terrific, tasty, fast, creamy, rich, low-calorie, easy-to-use, or edgy a product is. Overemphasizing a product's quality drives home a selling point quickly. (The big idea, page 20, From textbook)
A good or even great idea is at the heart of any effective campaign, especially those that resonate, that enter popular culture, that change the conversation, that create brand sirens and advocates and loyalists, and that build communities. (The big idea, page 22, From textbook)
The car itself has offer so many great features such as rear wheel drive, turbo charged engine, brembo brakes. For only those three items, Hyundai is winning this game.

Competitive Analyses
We are facing some really serious challenges from German and
Japanese automobile manufacturers. In an overcrowded, competitive marketplace, relevant and engaging
branding can ensure efficacy for a quality product, service, group,
individual, or commodity. Not only does branding identify and
distinguish, it builds equity. (The Brand idea, page 1 from Text book) At the price range of the Hyundai genesis
couple, there are basically three rivals from Toyota, Subaru and Volkswagen.
They are Toyota Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Volkswagen GTI. Very few products, services, or groups are unique; most are parity
products, that is, they offer qualities and functions similar or
identical to those of their competitors. Branding and advertising
differentiates these parity products, services, and groups in a crowded
marketplace.(The brand idea, page 2 from the textbook) The Scion FR-S, pure
blood of sports car. Toyota called it “ A return of the best elements of the
AE86 Corolla(as known as a very famous rear wheel drive sports car back in 80s)
and the other Toyota sports cars.” It sounds like a real deal; 2.0 liters flat
four-boxer engine, rear wheel drive, named after the legendary sports car AE86.
The Subaru BRZ, After Toyota bought Subaru, They released the first crossover
car BRZ. BRZ offers 2.0 liters flat four-boxer engine, rear wheel drive and the
most important is the even hotter version of it, BRZ STI. Also the VW GTI,
German engineering sounds sexy and mean. 2.0 liters turbo charged engine
provides 200hp. At this price range, I don't really worried about our Hyundai
Genesis couple is because the Genesis couple is combined the goods of those
three cars. Our Genesis couple offers, 2.0 liters turbo charged engine, rear
wheel drive, 268-horse power, better looking. Our Hyundai genesis sounds like
way better than its rivals why people still buy their cars not us? First,
Toyota, Subaru and VW are having their loyal customers. Second, People don't think
Koreans can make cars but Hyundai is actually having a very tough time. Third, they
are having some good commercials to support their cars. For example, fr-s’s commercials
are everywhere and every piece of that is talking about the legendary is back.
The word “legendary” means a lot to their customers. Look back to the commercial
of Hyundai genesis couple, a genesis couple against an arrow? Sounds interesting
but actually is really bored. My commercial will safe Hyundai and his genesis
couple. Don't let the Japanese and Euro knock a great car out.
Hyundai Genesis Coupe: Slogan
Fast Furious
Fantastic
Fast Furious Fantastic, The reason why I picked those three words for my commercial is because they look very organized, all of them are starting with the word "F" and each word represents the idea I'd like to show in my commercial. "Most people don't bother to read body copy. People who are engaged by the line and visual may go on to the body copy." That's why I only picked three words for my commercial. I'd like to make it short and easy to let my customers understand my commercial. Hyundai Genesis coupe is truly a sport car car. The word fast shows the car has power, made for speed, pure blood sports car. Furious is another word to show the Genesis couple is a great ride in a better way, 2 liters Turbo charged engine makes 260 hp is absolutely a great point to tell people the word Furious. Brembo brakes, sports tuned exhaust, 18 inches wheels, LED day time running light, 6 speed manual transmission and rear wheel drive make the Genesis couple looks and sounds Fantastic inside out.
