Competitive Analyses
We are facing some really serious challenges from German and
Japanese automobile manufacturers. In an overcrowded, competitive marketplace, relevant and engaging
branding can ensure efficacy for a quality product, service, group,
individual, or commodity. Not only does branding identify and
distinguish, it builds equity. (The Brand idea, page 1 from Text book) At the price range of the Hyundai genesis
couple, there are basically three rivals from Toyota, Subaru and Volkswagen.
They are Toyota Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Volkswagen GTI. Very few products, services, or groups are unique; most are parity
products, that is, they offer qualities and functions similar or
identical to those of their competitors. Branding and advertising
differentiates these parity products, services, and groups in a crowded
marketplace.(The brand idea, page 2 from the textbook) The Scion FR-S, pure
blood of sports car. Toyota called it “ A return of the best elements of the
AE86 Corolla(as known as a very famous rear wheel drive sports car back in 80s)
and the other Toyota sports cars.” It sounds like a real deal; 2.0 liters flat
four-boxer engine, rear wheel drive, named after the legendary sports car AE86.
The Subaru BRZ, After Toyota bought Subaru, They released the first crossover
car BRZ. BRZ offers 2.0 liters flat four-boxer engine, rear wheel drive and the
most important is the even hotter version of it, BRZ STI. Also the VW GTI,
German engineering sounds sexy and mean. 2.0 liters turbo charged engine
provides 200hp. At this price range, I don't really worried about our Hyundai
Genesis couple is because the Genesis couple is combined the goods of those
three cars. Our Genesis couple offers, 2.0 liters turbo charged engine, rear
wheel drive, 268-horse power, better looking. Our Hyundai genesis sounds like
way better than its rivals why people still buy their cars not us? First,
Toyota, Subaru and VW are having their loyal customers. Second, People don't think
Koreans can make cars but Hyundai is actually having a very tough time. Third, they
are having some good commercials to support their cars. For example, fr-s’s commercials
are everywhere and every piece of that is talking about the legendary is back.
The word “legendary” means a lot to their customers. Look back to the commercial
of Hyundai genesis couple, a genesis couple against an arrow? Sounds interesting
but actually is really bored. My commercial will safe Hyundai and his genesis
couple. Don't let the Japanese and Euro knock a great car out.
